Walt Brown spoke at California Lawyer‘s annual White Collar Defense Roundtable, which this year focused on changes under the Trump administration.
Walt, joined by panelists Jeffrey L. Bornstein (Rosen Bien Galvan & Grunfeld), A. Marisa Chun (McDermott Will & Emery) and John F. Libby (Manatt, Phelps & Phillips) discussed the Trump administration's white collar regulatory and enforcement priorities, the Yates Memo, the FCPA, and other trending topics. See the full text of their discussion here.
Walt noted, "We don't know what the priorities [of this administration] may be with any certainty. But we do know if you have a strong compliance infrastructure and culture, you're going to be in better shape when you find yourself faced with inquiries or prosecution."
