Orrick partner Evan Hollander will be speaking on the Cross-Border Bankruptcy Issues panel at the American Bankruptcy Institute’s 20th Annual New York City Bankruptcy Conference. The conference is being held on May 24, 2018 at the New York Hilton Midtown.

Evan will be discussing recent Chapter 15 decisions, the use of cross-border protocols, and obstacles uniquely faced in international bankruptcy cases, from 10:15-11:30 am.

Evan Hollander, Senior Partner in Orrick’s New York office, is a member of the firm’s Restructuring group.

He has over 25 years of experience representing debtors, creditors and directors in a wide range of complex restructuring matters – both in and out of court – with a particular emphasis on U.S. restructurings, ancillary proceedings under Chapter 15 of the Bankruptcy Code and dual plenary proceedings in the U.S. and foreign jurisdictions.

Evan advises debtors, secured lenders, equipment lessors, bondholders, indenture trustees and acquirers, among others, on all aspects of financial restructuring and insolvency transactions. He provides comprehensive counsel to parties interested in acquiring assets of troubled companies, and structuring commercial transactions to reduce or eliminate risk. In addition to his extensive experience in U.S.-based restructuring matters, involving both U.S. domestic corporations and as well as foreign corporations seeking relief in the U.S., Evan has advised clients on numerous foreign and multi-national restructuring matters.

An active member of the American Bankruptcy Law Institute, Evan routinely speaks and writes on key topics in financial restructuring and insolvency law.
