Carolin advises on corporate transactions with a focus on complex domestic and cross-border deals.

Her experience spreads from M&A transactions including private equity deals and joint ventures to venture capital financings and further includes general corporate counselling.

Prior to joining Orrick, Carolin worked as a lawyer for another leading U.S.-based and prior to that for a leading UK-based international law firm. During her legal clerkship, she was working in the London Corporate/M&A department of a UK law firm.

    • Advising STEAG on the acquisition of the 49% stake in the Walsum 10 power plant previously held by the Austrian utility EVN
    • Advising Berlin-based uberall on their $115 Million Series C financing and acquisition of U.S.-based tech company MomentFeed
    • Advising Comitis Capital (Comitis) on the acquisition of a stake in PetCo, an Austrian supplier of super premium dog and cat food
    • Advising STEAG on the sale of STEAG Power Minerals to EP Power Europe
    • Advising a leading investment fund in the acquisition of shares in a large German insurance broker*
    • Advising one of the leading German energy companies on its comprehensive asset swap with another electric utility company*
    • Advising a multinational chemical company on the merger of one of their subsidiaries with an international oil and gas company*
    • Advising a German transmission system operator for gas on the sale of shares in a European pipeline to other gas pipeline operators*
    • Advising an international car manufacturer in the acquisition of a financial services company in Germany*
    • Advising a Canadian pension fund regarding its co-investment into a German logistics company*
