Dr. Hang Xu is a member of the Mergers and Acquisitions, Private Equity and Corporate practices groups and is based in our Düsseldorf office.

Hang has a broad experience in advising Chinese investors doing outbound investments in Europe. Furthermore, he focuses on advising German as well as European investments in China, both, by way of M&A transactions, of joint ventures and wholly foreign owned enterprises. He also has significant experience in advising clients during the post-merger/post-acquisition integration. Hang is heading, together with Dr. Wilhelm Nolting-Hauff, Orrick’s China Desk in Germany

Prior to joining Orrick, Hang worked at several major international law firms in Munich and Shanghai.

    • Advising Estun Automation and China Renaissance Capital Investment on the acquisition of Carl Cloos Schweißtechnik GmbH, a German market leader in welding technology and robotics.
    • Advising Beijing Aeonmed Co., Ltd. on the acquisition of Heyer Medical AG, a pionieer of medical products for atomization inhalation and anaesthesia technology with a history of more than 100 years, within the framework of an insolvency proceeding.
    • Advising a new materials industry fund co-managed by QFAT Investment and Integrity Capital Partners on the acquisition of COTESA GmbH
    • Advising leading Chinese furniture producer KUKA Home on the acquisition of German best-known luxury furniture producer Rolf Benz.
    • Advising Nature Home Holding Company Limited on the acquisition of the intangible assets of Gustav Wellmann GmbH & Co. KG.
    • Advising a leading listed Jiangxi-based industrial brake system manufacturer on the proposed acquisition of a leading German competitor.
    • Advising a leading listed Shanghai-based home lifestyle company on intended acquisition of a German premium furniture manufacturer.
    • Advising a Chinese listed biopharmaceutical company on intended public take over of a German listed peer.
    • Advising a leading European kitchen manufacturer on establishment of a Sino-German joint venture in China.
