Law360 Highlights Orrick's Infrastructure Team as Construction Practice Group of the Year

• In this feature, Law360 cited our blockbuster work on a host of major infrastructure projects this past year in recognizing us as a Construction Practice Group of the Year. Partners Young Lee and Matthew Neuringer outlined our innovative approach to infrastructure projects, including our work for New York City’s Department of Design and Construction in replacing the Rikers Island jail complex.
• The publication also highlighted our work for health system Adventist Health on a 30-year agreement with energy infrastructure firm Bernhard to use tax-exempt financing to make a total of $457 million in energy efficiency upgrades across its system.

"That was really a transformative transaction for Adventist because they were able to get such significant value from the tax-exempt financing structure," Matthew told the publication.

Added Young: "Construction projects are having to leverage the different delivery methodologies and creativity around that as much as possible in an environment where dollars are very constrained, sites are very constrained, contractors, balance sheets are very constrained, That work has become quite sophisticated. That's the area we like to practice in."
