  • The Daily Journal this week recognized our precedent-setting trial win in December for the NCAA in concussion litigation as a 2022 Defense Verdict of the Year. Our team, led by partner Will Stute, secured the defense verdict in the first trial in the nation involving claims against the NCAA related to concussions in college football.
  • American Lawyer recognized our team today in its Litigator of the Week feature for securing another defense verdict this week for the NCAA in the second case to go to trial involving concussion claims. An Indiana jury returned the defense verdict after less than an hour of deliberations.

In this feature, the Daily Journal highlighted our December win in Los Angeles state court. Will and partners William Molinski and David Fuad described the trial’s challenges and its importance in establishing precedent for hundreds of other concussion cases pending around the country. American Lawyer previously recognized the team as Litigators of the Week for the trial win, and Courtroom View Network named it the Most Impressive Defense Verdict of 2022.

Will, David and William were also credited in Litigator of the Week as runners-up for this week’s win in Indiana, along with associates Francesca Morency, Natalie Nahabet, Whitney-Ann Mulhauser, Monica Svetoslavov and John Badalich. The publication also recognized Faegre Drinker Biddle & Reath as co-counsel.
