  • Dan Jones has joined the firm as a partner focused on providing regulatory counsel to fintech companies, financial institutions and others, in particular payment service providers, e-money issuers, crypto-asset issuers, wallets and exchanges.
  • He is the third addition to Orrick’s global Fintech team in the past two months, following the arrivals of former U.S. Consumer Financial Protection Bureau enforcer Melissa Baal Guidorizzi, and Dave McGill, a fintech, crypto and financial services litigator and regulatory enforcement adviser.
  • Dan is the sixth partner to join Orrick’s London office since 2021 and will be part of the firm’s tech practice, which has ranked No. 1 in Europe for 6+ years.

Dan advises on the full range of regulatory issues from licensing, authorization and structuring, to implementation, cross border reporting and M&A regulatory due diligence.
