We are pleased to announce that Orrick has advised EnergieKontor on its recent sale of the Longhill Burn Wind Farm and Sorbie Wind Farm to Capital Dynamics. The Longhill Burn Wind Farm will consist of eight Siemens Gamesa turbines with a total capacity of 50 MW. The project, which is located in West Lothian, Scotland, is expected to be one of the largest subsidy-free onshore wind farms in the United Kingdom once completed. The Sorbie Wind Farm is a shovel-ready, subsidy-free project located in North Ayrshire, Scotland, and, once operational, is estimated to reduce greenhouse emissions by over 0.7 million metric tons during its lifetime.
