Law360 has once again recognized Orrick on its Global 20 list, a ranking of the world’s 20 leading international law firms. This is the firm’s seventh appearance on the list since its inception in 2011. Law360’s list focuses on firms that have the “broadest global reach and a proven ability to handle the most difficult cross-border matters…”
Law360 noted Orrick’s growth strategy focused on strengthening its global offering for clients in the technology, energy & infrastructure and finance sectors, including office openings in the past year in Austin, Texas, to service the public finance market, and Santa Monica, California, to serve the growing startup community there. The article also highlighted the firm’s growth in London where the firm has added depth in its finance and technology practices. And Law360 pointed to additions in Asia, including new global head of oil & gas James Atkin, based in Tokyo, and several new partners in China focused on outbound work for major Chinese companies.
In an interview with Law360, Blake Winburne, head of the firm’s Energy & Infrastructure practice, stressed the importance of collaboration within the firm.
