Alice advises clients on cross border and domestic transactions in the areas of M&A, private equity, capital markets and venture capital transactions.

Alice frequently advises on cross-border M&A and has done so in a range of sectors, including in the mining and natural resources, technology, media and financial services sectors. She has also acted for issuers, underwriters and management teams on initial public offerings and secondary fundraisings, on both AIM and the Main Market and has significant experience working with high growth technology companies and venture capital firms on investment deals.

Alice regularly works with clients on a broad range of ongoing corporate governance and restructuring issues including group reorganisations.

  • Recent engagements Alice has advised on include:

    • Advised StudioCanal in its acquisition of Paddington and Company Limited which owns all intellectual property rights (apart from publishing rights) to Michael Bond's classic children's character, Paddington Bear.
    • Advised Canal+ Overseas on its strategic investment in iROKO, Africa's largest Internet TV operator and the world's largest online platform for African video content.
    • Advised Johnson Controls on its acquisition of a 60% interest in Hitachi Appliances' global HVAC business and the creation of an associated joint venture with Hitachi.
    • Represented Secret Escapes, an online members only travel club, in its US$60 million Series C financing led by Google Ventures and Octopus Investments.
    • Advised the management team of FDM Group (Holdings) Plc, a professional services provider, in connection with the company’s IPO.
    • Advised Gécamines, the Congolese state owned mining company, in connection with certain joint venture interests in the Democratic Republic of the Congo.
    • Advised Intu Properties plc on its joint venture with LaSalle Investment Management, acting on behalf of Greater Manchester Pension Fund and West Yorkshire Pension Fund, to jointly own the intu Chapelfield Shopping Centre in Norwich.
    • Advised Cloudpipes Group Ltd and its Shareholders on the completion of its sale to Quickbase UK Ltd.
