Erica Sechrist, Senior Strategist in the Washington, D.C. office, uses her previous experience working with national party committees and in the private sector to bring a unique perspective and understanding when tackling issues our clients face at both the national and state level.
Erica has extensive experience providing advice and developing strategic programs for leadership committees and associations.
Before joining Orrick, Erica worked for Advance America as Director of Government Affairs. In this role, she negotiated legislation with elected officials and regulators and developed strategic relationships with community leaders while running point for Advance America with National Political Committees. Prior to Advance America, Erica served as Finance Director of the Republican State Leadership Committee, Executive Director of the Republican Attorneys General Association, and Chairman’s Foundation Representative of the National Republican Senatorial Committee. In her last year at the Republican State Leadership Committee, the committee raised over $30 million and made historic gains in the 2010 elections, flipping 20 state chambers to Republican control as well as netting six Attorneys General, seven Secretaries of State and three independently elected Lieutenant Governors.
