Julia Schmitz is Counsel in the Düsseldorf office and member of the M&A and Private Equity Group.

She advises national and international clients on M&A/Private Equity transactions, intragroup cross-border restructuring measures and general corporate law. She has experience in a variety of industry sectors, with a focus on technology, energy & infrastructure and real estate.

    • Holland Capital in the acquisition of LMTec Digital Solutions Group, a software consultancy firm.

    • Skillz, a leading platform for online gaming, in the acquisition of a shareholding in Exit Games, a developer of technology for synchronized multi-player gaming.
    • Uberall, a provider of near me-online marketing in its series c financing.
    • Findos Investor in the acquisition of FFW Group, a platform agent that supports companies in the digital transformation.
    • Findos Investor in the sale of car part specialist Rameder to FSN Capital.
    • Persico in the acquisition of two machine manufacturers.
    • Westag & Getalit in connection with the public takeover of the company by Broadview Industries.
    • Hitachi Chemicals in the acquisition of a German thermal insulation manufacturer.
    • Luxempart and NomaInvest in the investment in Rattay Group.
    • Thales in a bidding process for the sale of Airbus' border security division.
    • Paulig in the sale of a minority shareholding in Fuchs Gewürze.
    • GEA AG in several different transactions and bidding processes.
    • Vantage Towers in connection with the public takeover of the company by GIP and KKR.
    • Snam in a bidding process regarding a shareholding in Nord Stream 2.

    • Avignon Capital in the sale of commercial buildings.
    • Mecklenburgia in the sale of four residential building complexes.
    • Comitis Capital in the acquisition of a majority shareholding in Cloud7, a leading brand in the premium dog accessory market.
    • FFW in the development of a management participation program.
    • nobilia-Werke J. Stickling GmbH& Co. KG, a leading kitchen manufacturer,in its international expansion strategy.
    • World Triathlon Cooperation in its international post M&A restructuring measures.

    Engagements with regard to corporate litigations and arbitrations include:

    • Representation of former managing directors of a limited liability company in the defense against claims raised by the insolvency receiver of the entity.
    • Representation of former managing director of a stock company in the defense against claims of the stock company.
    • Representation of seller in post M&A dispute against purchaser.
