Róisín focuses on technology law and regulatory compliance, advising clients on emerging tech regulations, data privacy and commercial transactions.

Róisín works with fast-growing startups and established technology companies to navigate complex legal frameworks.

She has a particular focus on commercial exploitation of AI and AI governance, complex outsourcings, technology contracts and digital platform compliance with the EU’s new technology regulations.

Prior to joining Orrick, Róisín held roles at a top-tier Irish law firm where she developed a deep understanding of the intersection between law, technology and business strategy.

    • Drafted and negotiated AI Contracts (B2B and B2C) for AI companies to license their technology.
    • Advised entities on their data privacy obligations, and compliance programs.
    • Advising companies on their AI governance and legal issues pertaining to intellectual property and contracts prior to the implementation of the AI Act.
    • Drafted online terms and conditions of sale (B2B and B2C), website terms and conditions of use, privacy and cookie policies.
    • Managed global trademark and domain portfolios for large food and drinks companies.
    • Acted for claimants and defendants on trademark and design infringement matters.
    • Drafted, negotiated and reviewed license, distribution, franchise, agency, services, reseller, consultancy, sponsorship, and manufacturing agreements.
    • Acted for the Irish Times on their acquisition of RIP.ie.
    • Acted for Softbank on its investment of approximately €473m in Cubic Telecom Limited for a 51% equity stake in the company at a valuation of over €900m.
