Orrick Hires Rising Star Patent Litigator in New York

  • Wesley White joins our global IP litigation team as a partner, focused on high stakes patent disputes in the tech sector.
  • A key member of trial teams on major patent cases in federal courts across the country, including Delaware and the Eastern District of Texas, he litigates patents related to computer hardware and software, e-commerce, video/media streaming, life sciences, medical devices and other technologies. This includes an important role in a trial team that secured a nine-figure judgment in a patent infringement case recognized as one of the top verdicts of 2020.
  • He joins from IP litigation boutique Reichman Jorgensen Lehman & Feldberg, where he was a partner, after starting his career at Desmarais.
  • Wesley follows the firm’s hire of the four-partner life sciences IP team of David Gindler, Gary Frischling, Lauren Drake and John Lu from Milbank in November.

Wes, who earned dual degrees in electrical engineering and applied physics and also worked as an analyst for five years with Goldman Sachs prior to attending law school, has been named a Rising Star by Managing IP. He is a member of the National Bar Association, the Metropolitan Black Bar Association and the Hon. William C. Conner Inn of Court.
