Alex Stathopoulos Appointed to the Bar Association of San Francisco’s Judiciary Committee

Orrick partner Alex Stathopoulos has been appointed to a 3-year term on the Judiciary Committee for the Bar Association of San Francisco. In that capacity, she will help evaluate candidates seeking appointment and election to the Superior Court of California of the County of San Francisco, the United States District Court for the Northern District of California, the United States Court of Appeals for the Ninth Circuit, the Supreme Court of California, and the California Court of Appeals, First Appellate District.

Alex's practice involves defending employers in class, collective, and representative actions alleging wage and hour violations, discrimination, and other claims under federal and state laws, including Private Attorney General Act (PAGA) claims. She also routinely defends employers in high-stakes single plaintiff cases involving contract disputes, leaves and accommodations, and allegations of discrimination, harassment, retaliation, whistleblowing, wrongful termination, and trade secrets misappropriation.

Alex also serves on BASF's Labor and Employment Section Executive Committee, as well as the California Lawyers Association Labor and Employment Section Executive Committee.

Founded in 1872, the Bar Association of San Francisco (BASF) is now made up of over 7,500 attorneys, law students, and legal professionals in the San Francisco Bay Area.
