D.C. Legal Aid’s Making Justice Real Campaign Raises $3.1M to Address Unprecedented Needs

August.20.2020

Thanks to all 60 members of our DC team who supported the Legal Aid Society of the District of Columbia, our longtime community and pro bono partner, in its 2020 Making Justice Real Campaign. For the fourth straight year, Team Orrick placed first in our firm size category, raising $78,000 this year to help provide people in need in Washington, D.C., with free legal assistance in the areas of domestic violence, family, housing, public benefits, immigration and consumer law.

The Making Justice Real Campaign is the next evolution of the Generous Associates Campaign, an annual fundraising drive that has raised millions for D.C. Legal Aid over the past 30 years. In total, the campaign raised over $3.1 million from 80 law firms this year.

Our team was led by Ben Aiken, Logan Dwyer, Dan Nathan and Kelsi Brown Corkran. Kelsi also serves on the Executive Committee of D.C. Legal Aid’s Board of Trustees.
