Congratulations to Orrick tax partner
Peter Connors on being elected Executive Vice President of the International Fiscal Association's USA Branch by the organization's Executive Committee. He began his term upon ratification by the membership at the organization's annual meeting in late February. Peter will become IFA USA President at the conclusion of his two-year term.
The International Fiscal Association is the leading professional organization for international tax advisers. IFA has more than 12,500 members worldwide in 111 countries, of which 68 have national branches. The USA Branch is one of the largest IFA branches, with nearly 1,000 members across 17 regions. Peter previously served as Vice President of IFA USA, as well as Vice President of the New York Region, the largest region in IFA USA.
Peter focuses his practice on cross-border transactions. He has extensive experience in related areas of tax law, including asset securitization, financial transactions, corporate reorganizations and private equity investments, as well as tax controversy, including representation of taxpayers before the U.S. Tax Court.
In addition to his leadership at IFA USA, Peter currently serves as President of the American College of Tax Counsel. He recently commenced his 15th year as a member of the Executive Committee of the New York State Bar Association Tax Section, where he serves as Co-Chair of the Inbound Tax Committee.
