Orrick assisted the Alpha Square Fund, managed by Castello SGR and underwritten entirely by leading American institutional investors, in the acquisition of a shopping mall located in Nerviano in the province of Milan from Covivio. The acquisition consists of an Auchan hypermarket and a shopping mall with 23 shops.
The transaction represents the fifth acquisition of the Fund, which began operations in February 2018 and has, to date, acquired various properties for commercial use in Rome, Milan and Perugia as well as an entertainment centre in Perugia, reaching a gross asset value of approximately €100 million.
