Celebrating the 5th Annual Veterans’ Legal Career Fair

October.31.2019

On October 25, we celebrated the 5th anniversary of our Veterans’ Legal Career Fair in Washington, D.C. We created this event in 2015 to give back to those who serve our country. Since then, more than 500 veterans, active duty service members and their spouses have interviewed at the fair. You can listen to some of their inspiring stories on The American Lawyer’s podcast “Boots to Suits: The Path From JAG Corps to Big Law and Beyond.” It features Orrick associates Anne Savin and Matt Reeder and Morgan Stanley VP of Legal & Compliance Jaime Turner talking about their experiences serving in the military justice system and how the Veterans’ Legal Career Fair helped them make the transition to private practice.

We are incredibly grateful to the 40 top legal employers who interviewed and supported this year’s fair, including 21 law firms and corporate legal departments such as Amazon, Bank of America, Facebook, Intel, Juniper Networks, Microsoft (which also hosted kick-off networking reception at its Innovation & Policy Center), Morgan Stanley, TCDI, USAA, VMWare and Walmart. And a special thanks to all of you who have already committed to returning to interview at the 2020 VLCF!
