Daily Journal Names Lynne Hermle to Top Women Lawyers List

May.08.2019

Congratulations to Orrick’s Lynne Hermle on her selection to the Daily Journal’s Top Women Lawyers List for the fifth consecutive year. This annual series spotlights the 100 most influential women lawyers in California for their accomplishments in the law. In its profile article, the Daily Journal touted Lynne’s “prominence in employment defense which has placed her at the forefront of some of the biggest workplace disputes in the country from #MeToo sexual harassment and abuse to gender discrimination claims for clients such as a leading tech company (U.S.), Microsoft, Twitter, Tesla and SpaceX.”

On the challenges her clients face litigating workplace disputes in the court of public opinion, Lynne said, “It’s a complicated but fascinating process. And there’s nothing more inspiring than a client willing to, as a matter of principle, lay it on the line.” Lynne went on to acknowledge her team, noting that “it’s been an incredible experience to help build a team – the majority of whom are women – to litigate and try these cases.” She also highlighted Orrick’s culture. “I’ve been at Orrick for 32 years, and the firm has a vibrancy and strength, and female presence, we’d only hoped for in earlier years, like nothing we even dreamed of when I joined years ago,” Lynne said.
