Orrick managing associate Alex Stathopoulos has been named the California Young Lawyers Association (CYLA) Section Liaison to the Labor and Employment Section of the California Lawyers Association. As CYLA Section Liaison, Alex will serve as an active member of the CYLA Executive Committee, and will help integrate the CYLA into the Labor and Employment Section.
“I am honored to have been chosen for this role, and look forward to helping the CLA and the Labor and Employment Section support each other’s activities, events, and publications, and to create opportunities for California’s young lawyers to become more involved in the Labor and Employment Section,” said Alex.
Alex focuses her practice on litigating high-stakes wage and hour class actions, single-plaintiff cases, and counseling clients on a variety of challenging employment law matters. She is a graduate of the University of California at Berkeley, and the University of California, Berkeley School of Law.
CYLA is the nation’s largest association of young and new lawyers. It provides opportunities for networking and education, and advocates for issues important to young and new lawyers. All California lawyers who are either in their first five years of practice or under age 36 are automatically members.
