Citing an “impressive list of high-tech clients,” Global Competition Review (GCR) has ranked Orrick’s antitrust group in California as “Highly Recommended” in its latest global listing of jurisdiction-based competition practices. The annual list provides analysis on the law firms doing the most important antitrust work.

GCR praised the firm’s Antitrust & Competition Group and practice leader Bob Rosenfeld, noting Orrick’s work on a variety of cutting-edge antitrust matters, including LCD cartel-related cases for Sony and a major case involving the antitrust limits of grower cooperatives. “Orrick’s practice is highly regarded for its cartel-related expertise,” GCR observed. “In a matter on behalf of several Idaho potato growers, the firm is at the forefront of legal questions regarding the antitrust limits of grower cooperatives.”

In addition to Bob, GCR cited the work of partner Russell Cohen and senior counsel Stephen Bomse on the Idaho matter, saying it has “implications for several agricultural industries.”

The recognition is the latest endorsement of our global antitrust team, which is led by partner Bob Rosenfeld, who was named to the Best Lawyers in America list for nine straight years from 2006-2015, and is supported by senior counsel Steve Bomse, who this past year was recognized by Best Lawyers in America as antitrust “Lawyer of the Year” in San Francisco.
