Innocence Project Recognizes Orrick's Contributions

May.17.2016

Orrick was honored at the Innocence Project’s Tenth Anniversary Benefit event last week in New York in recognition of our work on a wide range of matters over the years.

Since the beginning of 2013, more than 40 Orrick lawyers – under the direction of B. J. Rosen – have contributed more than 450 hours to the Innocence Project, a national litigation and public policy organization dedicated to exonerating wrongfully convicted people through DNA testing and reforming the criminal justice system to prevent future injustice. Our work has spanned the entire gamut of legal advice, including corporate governance, intellectual property, commercial contracts, employee relations, tax and legal ethics work.

“The Innocence Project is one of the most admired organizations in the field of law,” said B. J., who serves as outside general counsel to the Innocence Project. “We’re honored by their award, but even more honored that lawyers of their caliber have chosen our team to represent them for all these years.”
