Jason White, Tricia Eichar, Jamie Shookman and Kevin Hynes prepared a cutting-edge memorandum on transitional justice issues involving children affected by armed conflict in Syria.
The memorandum will be used by policy makers to implement transitional justice mechanisms to account for the unbelievably devastating use of children in the current Syrian War.
This was a huge team effort, involving approximately 500 combined pro bono hours of research, drafting and revision on an extremely complicated and difficult set of issues.
PILPG's pro bono legal director commented that this memo is "one of the best we've ever seen, full of practical advice but supported by deep substantive understanding of this difficult area of law. This memo will certainly have great impact in policy discussions that will take place relating to Syria."
