Vince advises clients on a wide variety of commercial IP, technology and data matters.

Vince takes a practical and commercial approach to helping clients with their IP, technology and data issues.

He advises on IP, technology and data-driven public and private M&A, as well as strategic technology and licensing transactions and general advisory work.

Vince also has experience advising on complex business separations and transitional services arrangements, strategic and day-to-day data protection and privacy issues, and preparing companies for listing.

  • M&A

    • Cazoo on various strategic growth acquisitions.
    • The Joint Administrators of Debenhams on their £55 million sale of the Debenhams brand to boohoo group plc.
    • Flutter Entertainment on its £402 million acquisition of leading online bingo operator, Tombola.
    • A leading private equity house on its take-private of a listed beverage group.
    • Advised a wide range of domestic and global clients on IP, technology and data considerations in relation to public and private M&A, from both buy-side and sell-side.

    Technology Transactions Group

    • Advised a range of domestic and international clients on the commercialisation/licensing of key IP, including brands and patents.

    Commercial, Business Separations and Complex Carve Outs

    • London Stock Exchange Group on its €4.4 billion disposal of Borsa Italiana to Euronext, in connection with its $27 billion purchase of Refinitiv.
    • EDF on its proposed purchase of General Electric’s nuclear steam business.
    • A global gambling client on the carve-out and sale of one of its portfolio businesses.

    Data Protection and Privacy

    • A global charity on its response to a third-party data breach.
    • Advised domestic and global clients on a range of strategic and day-to-day data protection issues, including privacy notices, international transfers, data processing addenda, data sharing agreements, responses to data breaches and data protection in the context of litigation, and restructuring and insolvency mandates.
