Megan Alvarado is a New York-based public policy lawyer who advises clients on regulatory compliance, licensing, and government affairs matters, with deep experience in the gaming and sports betting industries.
Megan draws on operator-side experience at a leading online sports betting and iGaming company, where she worked across legal, regulatory, product and business teams to support multijurisdictional launches and ongoing operations. Before joining Orrick, Megan managed licensing and regulatory matters for a leading online sports betting and iGaming operator. In that role, she supported market access and launch work, coordinated entity, individual and vendor licensing, advised internal stakeholders on gaming regulatory obligations and helped respond to inquiries from gaming regulators and law enforcement.
Megan earned her J.D. from Seton Hall University School of Law in 2021 and holds dual bachelor's degrees in Economics and Legal Studies from Quinnipiac University, where she graduated in 2018. Her interdisciplinary educational background combines legal analysis with economic and business perspectives, enabling her to provide comprehensive counsel that addresses both legal compliance and commercial objectives.
