  • Rebecca Servian joins Orrick’s Compensation & Benefits group as a partner. She is based in London.
  • Rebecca advises startups at all stages, from pre-seed round to exit, on the design and implementation of share and cash-based incentives arrangements. She also provides strategic advice and leads due diligence on share-based incentives in connection with M&A, IPO, private equity and restructuring transactions.
  • She joins from Latham & Watkins and was previously the head of incentives at Ashurst.
  • Rebecca’s addition follows a string of investments in the tech sector, including partners Mark Solakian and Jake Gatof in Boston and a 14-lawyer team in Los Angeles, all focused on emerging companies and venture capital.

“We’re thrilled to add Rebecca, a skilled advisor who brings expertise that is essential to helping our clients grow and execute investments and strategic transactions,” said Shawn Atkinson, co-leader of Orrick’s Technology Companies Group. “Our European Corporate practice had a great year, closing 440 VC/growth financings and tech M&A deals in 2024, and we’re excited to work with Rebecca to continue building our client offering.”

“Orrick is a clear leader in the UK and global tech ecosystem and I look forward to collaborating with this great team to help our clients innovate,” Rebecca said.

Rebecca is recognized as a rising star by Chambers UK, Legal 500 and MergerLinks.

She is the 18th partner to join Orrick in Europe in the past two years, following the arrival earlier this year of restructuring advisor Prav Reddy in London.

Orrick has ranked No. 1 for venture capital in Europe for 36 consecutive quarters dating back to 2016 (Pitchbook). The firm helped clients in the AI space raise $36B+ globally and has advised companies and investors on 70+ AI M&A transactions over the past 20 months.
