Orrick has once again earned a 100% on the Human Rights Campaign Foundation’s Corporate Equality Index in recognition of our efforts to build a more LGBTQ-inclusive workplace. It’s our 16th consecutive year receiving a perfect rating and the designation of being a Best Place to Work for LGBTQ+ Equality.
The annual report measures policies, benefits and practices (including supporting an inclusive culture and corporate social responsibility) that ensure greater equity for LGBTQ+ workers and their families.
As part of our ongoing commitment to becoming more inclusive, over the past year we launched a new LGBTQ+ mentoring program, added a module on gender bias to our mandatory annual workplace respect training, added preferred pronouns to our email signature blocks, and introduced a new gender inclusive workplace policy that provides guidelines for our team to ensure that all of our colleagues are welcome, respected and able to bring their whole selves to work – regardless of gender identity.
