Orrick is advising Busuu Online SL on its definitive agreement to be acquired by Chegg, Inc (NYSE: CHGG) for approximately $436 million (€385 million) in an all-cash transaction. The acquisition is expected to close early in the first quarter of 2022.
Busuu is one of the world’s leading language learning platforms with over 120 million learners to date in more than 160 countries, providing courses in 12 different languages to over 500,000 paying subscribers. Busuu was founded in 2008 by Bernhard Niesner and Adrian Hilti and has offices in London and Madrid.
