Sheraton Boston – Boston, MAAs the affordable housing crisis spreads nationally, a number of states are no longer able to meet demand for private activity bond volume cap and low-income housing tax credit allocations. Orrick’s housing team has developed a number of financing structures that leverage volume cap recycling, other types of tax-exempt debt (e.g., 501c3 bonds), in-kind contributions, property tax exemptions, and other public and private sector resources to make affordable multifamily housing financings feasible without tax credit equity.
Orrick Public Finance co-leader Justin Cooper joins a roundtable discussion on this topic during NCSHA’s Annual Conference & Showplace on Monday, October 16.
The NCSHA Annual Conference & Showplace brings together State Housing Finance Agencies (HFAs) executive directors, staff, board members and their industry partners to explore solutions to the various challenges faced by the affordable housing community.
Other Orrick team members in attendance include Jeffrey Philp and Michael Shrader.
