Lower for Longer: a briefing on the impact of low oil prices on oil and oil services companies

Oil prices have now been on the decline for a year and the market expectation is that barring a major supply shock the oil price will remain ‘lower for longer’.

In 2015, with a few notable exceptions, many companies in EMEA were able to navigate the new low price environment with judicious hedging, covenant amendments to debt terms and renegotiation of key service contracts. Orrick, in conjunction with our guest speakers, is pleased to invite you to a briefing at our London office to discuss the impact of the current situation for oil corporates and the companies which service them. We will discuss how oil explorers and oil service companies are going to navigate 2016 and beyond.

Moderated by Stephen Phillips, Co-Head of Orrick's European Restructuring Group, our panel will be Iain Gunn, Portfolio Manager, Elliott Advisors (UK) Limited, Shehzad Haq, Head of Reserves Based Lending and Offshore Services, SMBC, and Shirish Joshi, Managing Director at PJT Partners.
