Growth Equity Investment

A Growth Equity Investment is the purchase of shares of a private company with the intention of providing the company with the capital it needs to expand its operations. Growth Equity Investments have historically been made in companies that are at a later stage than a company that would take a minority venture capital investment, but at a stage that is too early for a private equity investor to take a majority position in, though the lines of venture capital, growth equity and private equity are blurring.
