Saam Golshani is a Restructuring and M&A lawyer, based in Orrick's Paris office. Partner in charge of the French M&A-Private Equity Group and co-Head of Orrick’s European Restructuring Group, Saam represents French and multinational clients, including investment funds, investment banks, entrepreneurs, industrials, listed and non-listed companies, and distressed companies.

Recognized by Chambers & Partners as a key counsel in Restructuring in France, Saam acts on behalf of creditors, debtors, investors and potential buyers on the many issues arising from difficult situations, corporate reorganizations and insolvency proceedings. According to the legal directory, clients describe Saam as an “excellent negotiator, who handles the M&A issues in restructuring and near-insolvency processes.” He has recently advised on the most publicized bankruptcies, M&A and industrial restructurings in France, such as the restructurings of Mory Ducros, Sequana, Latécoère or SNCM.

Saam also advises on both domestic and cross-border mergers and acquisitions, as well as private equity and venture capital matters, notably in the technology sector where he is distinguished as a key expert by Chambers & Partners Europe. As such, he advised on the acquisition of France-based restaurant booking platform La Fourchette by U.S. travel company TripAdvisor.

A French-qualified lawyer, Saam previously worked at Willkie, Farr & Gallagher from 2000 to 2004 and at Clifford Chance from 1996 to 2000.
