Congratulations to employment law partner Lynne Hermle on her selection to the National Law Journal's Winning Litigators List which profiles the litigators with the biggest wins of the year. Selected by the NLJ for her victory on behalf of Kleiner Perkins in the high-profile discrimination suit brought by former partner Ellen Pao, Lynne shared the following trial tips as part of her success.
• "You can't try a case without a great team that works well together, including in times of stress," Lynne said.
• "You have to prepare your team for the difficult days," she said. "Everyone needs to keep their eyes on the prize and understand that tomorrow is another chance to make progress with the judge and jury."
• "Documents are important, especially in today's complex employment cases," she said. "They can be essential to credibility and the plaintiff's cross-exam. Wade through them carefully with an eye on the key issues in the case."
