Fortune Names Orrick a Best Workplace for Women

November.01.2018

Orrick is honored to be one of only two law firms named to Fortune’s 2018 100 Best Workplaces for Women list, recognizing our commitment to being the best place to work and our focus on supporting and advancing women. Orrick continues to climb the list, this year ranking in the top quarter of all U.S. companies.

Women hold 60 percent of management positions at Orrick, and 35 percent of the partners who serve in senior leadership are female or diverse. “The firm is literally led by women – the COO, CTO and CCO are all women,” said an Orrick team member to Fortune as part of the survey process. “As a diverse woman, I am thrilled to be a part of a diverse Team Orrick!”

With an industry-leading parental leave program and many Agile Working options, Orrick is consistently recognized for the ways we support women. We are the only law firm on four of the leading measures of the best law firms for women and families: Yale Law Women’s Top 10 Most Family-Friendly Firms and Top 10 Most Female-Friendly Firms, Women in Law Empowerment Forum’s Gold Standard list and Working Mother. This summer, we achieved Mansfield Certification Plus for the number of women and diverse lawyers we have in leadership roles and on committees.

Earlier this year, Fortune also named Orrick to its 100 Best Companies to Work For list – where we ranked #31 – and one of the 100 Best Workplaces for Millennials – both for the third consecutive year.
