Orrick has advised Cloudreach, a leading global cloud enabler headquartered in London, in the acquisition of a majority stake in the company by leading investment firm Blackstone Group. Cloudreach provides consulting, project implementation and ongoing customer support services to companies who are looking to transition from a hardware-based, in-office IT function to one that is cloud-based. Terms of the transaction were not disclosed.
The Orrick team was led by partner Chris Grew and of counsel Steve Barnett and included assistance by Emma Raleigh, Janine Suttie, Joanna Oleniuk, Ingrid Hesselbo and Luke Steele from the firm's Technology Companies Group, Ed Denny, Bridget Winters and James Lindon in the firm's Tax Group, and Mitch Pahl, Mandy Perry and Amy Roper in the Employment Group.
