Orrick Advises U-Shin on its Acquisition of Valeo's Access Mechanisms Business

Tokyo, Japan and Paris, France – Orrick, Herrington & Sutcliffe LLP advised Japan-based U-Shin, Ltd. on its €203 million acquisition of Paris-based Valeo S.A.'s access mechanisms business.

U-Shin is one of Asia's largest producers of automotive access mechanisms. Through this acquisition, U-Shin would become a global market leader with a diversified customer base and a front-rank presence in Asia, Europe and South America. The deal was finalized on May 24, 2013.

The cross-border Orrick team was led by L. Mark Weeks, Managing Partner of Orrick’s Tokyo office, and Paris corporate partner George Rigo, and included lawyers from Orrick's corporate, antitrust, employment, acquisition finance and intellectual property practices.
