Orrick Receives Further Recognition for Its Diversity Efforts

Orrick has been named one of the 2012 Working Mother and Flex-Time Lawyers “50 Best Law Firms for Women” for the fourth time in its latest survey.  This annual list recognizes law firms for their family-friendly policies and business development initiatives in retaining women and advancing them into the leadership pipeline, and gives others the benchmarking tools needed to improve the status of women at their firms. Among other criteria, firms were evaluated based on the percentage of female equity and non-equity partners and the percentage of lawyers working reduced hours.

The firm also earned a perfect score of 100 percent for the seventh consecutive year in the 2013 Human Rights Campaign Foundation's annual Corporate Equality Index and Best Places to Work survey. Orrick's top rating places it among a select group of U.S. businesses and law firms that received high marks for their treatment of lesbian, gay, bisexual, and transgender (LGBT) employees and customers.

Additional recognition that the firm's diversity and inclusion efforts have received this year includes Vault's Top 25 Best Law Firms for Diversity, Diversity for Minorities and Diversity for LGBT and Yale Law Women's Top 10 Family Friendly Firms.
