Kevin Riehle advises and represents clients in complex national and international arbitration proceedings and before German courts.

His focus is on contractual disputes in the energy, infrastructure, and technology sectors, where his clients benefit from his experience in high-volume arbitration proceedings. In addition, Kevin is well-versed in legal disputes in the supply industry, the iron and steel industry, and investment arbitration.

In the field of arbitration, he handles proceedings under all relevant arbitration rules, including DIS, ICC, LCIA, UNCITRAL, and AAA.

Before joining Orrick, Kevin deepened his specialized knowledge in litigation and conflict resolution through by working for three other leading international law firms in Germany and internationally.

    • Representation of the Federal Republic of Germany in two arbitration proceedings to defend against claims related to the infrastructure charging system for the planned introduction of a passenger car toll.
    • Representation of a DAX-listed corporation from the metal industry in enforcing contractual claims from long-term supply contracts in a DIS arbitration proceeding.
    • Representation of a German manufacturer in an ICC arbitration proceeding with a U.S. company over a high-volume supply contract for marine transmissions.
    • Representation of a multinational European energy corporation in an international DIS arbitration proceeding to defend against unjustified contractual claims of a former customer from an EFET agreement and in connection with complex payment arrangements between multiple parties.
