Orrick Adds First-Chair Trial Lawyer Will Stute in Washington, D.C.

Orrick today announced that first-chair trial lawyer Will Stute has joined the firm in Washington, D.C. Will joins Orrick from McDermott, Will & Emery, where he was a partner. He is the 15th litigation partner to join the firm this year.

Will brings a winning record in state and federal courts around the country. He currently serves as national trial counsel for the NCAA in concussion litigation. He also represented institutional investors who recovered tens of millions of dollars in connection with one of the largest Ponzi schemes in U.S. history. Will’s practice includes a broad spectrum of civil and criminal litigation matters, including multidistrict litigation, SEC regulatory work, internal corporate investigations, and white collar and class action defense. His clients include top 10 global financial institutions, leading private equity funds, and Fortune 500 companies in the tech, life sciences and defense industries. He was voted a 2017 BTI Client Service All-Star.

Will is the 33rd partner to join Orrick this year and the fifth litigation partner in the Washington, D.C., office, where he follows white collar and securities litigation partners Richard Morvillo, Daniel Nathan and Andrew Morris from the Morvillo law firm, and antitrust litigator Amy Ray. In addition, we’ve added Jared Bobrow as head of our global IP practice and first-chair IP litigator Clem Roberts in the Bay Area.
