Orrick announced today it is partnering with SVG Partners and THRIVE AgTech Venture & Innovation Platform to offer exclusive legal counsel to seed and growth stage agriculture and food technology companies. Under the direction of Orrick partner Matteo Daste, the firm will invest time to guide companies in THRIVE’s annual accelerator cohorts, many of which have originally been established in foreign countries, to organize themselves with a proper legal framework consistent with operating and raising capital in Silicon Valley.
The announcement of Orrick’s involvement in the innovative project comes on the eve of the Third Annual Forbes AgTech Summit in Salinas, where Silicon Valley and agriculture industry leaders will showcase the latest innovations and startups for growers, investors and stakeholders in the global agricultural ecosystem. SVG Partners and THRIVE collaborate on the annual event.
