PitchBook ranks Orrick #1 in European venture capital for the second quarter of 2016, and #9 for M&A involving North American or European targets for the first half of 2016.
For M&A, Orrick was also ranked #11 globally for the second quarter and #19 globally for the first half of 2016 by Thomson Reuters.
These rankings conclude a remarkable first half for Orrick’s global transactional teams. In addition to our M&A and private equity work, we ranked #3 for project finance in the U.S. by deal value and #13 globally for 1H by IJ Global. We were also rated #1 bond counsel for 1H by Thomson Reuters as reported in The Bond Buyer, where our deal value was nearly twice the runner-up firm. And we continue to be top-ranked in structured finance, where we are the #2 U.S. CMBS issuer's counsel and #4 underwriter's counsel for Q2 (Commercial Mortgage Alert) and #6 issuer's counsel for ABS/MBS (Asset-Backed Alert).
