Orrick Advises on Millicom International Cellular’s Tender Offer and SEK-denominated Notes

Orrick represented Millicom International Cellular S.A., a provider of mobile communication and mobile financial services to cable television and entertainment, in tender offers for existing SEK-denominated notes and a new issuance of SEK 2,000,000,000 STIBOR + 3.3% floating rate bonds due in 2019. The first tender offer and issuance of the notes settled on April 21, 2016 and the second tender offer settled on May 2, 2016. Millicom repurchased an aggregate amount of SEK 1,684,000,000 of its outstanding bonds in the two tender offers. The Orrick team was led by Nell Scott and included Sushila Nayak and Alexandra Cambouris.

She has a broad range of experience in debt financing transactions, including structured credit and corporate finance. She represents issuers, arrangers and collateral managers in connection with the issuance and restructuring of various structured finance products, derivatives transactions and debt issuances in Europe and the United States.

Sushila also provides counsel to technology and other companies on trade finance matters, including receivables financing arrangements, vendor financing, and supply chain financing.

Active in pro bono work, she leads the London office’s pro bono efforts.
