Orrick Advises EOS Holding on its Acquisition of a Portfolio of Wind Farms and Solar Plants

February.11.2016

Orrick advised EOS Holding on its acquisition of a portfolio of four windfarms and four solar plants located in France and Portugal — with an approximate total production capacity of 100 MW — from Omnes Capital.

The four windfarms are located in the Picardy, Burgundy and Poitou-Charentes regions of France, while the four solar plants are located in Portugal and in the Aquitaine region of France. This portfolio includes a portion of the Cestas solar park, Europe's largest solar park, as well as the Bétout plant, which won the French Energy Regulation Commission’s first solar power call for tenders.

The Orrick team advising on the transaction included George Rigo (partner) and Gergana Rodriguez (associate) on corporate aspects; Sarah Fleury (Of counsel) and Anne Giraud-Lasserre (associate) on real estate aspects, Jean-Luc Champy (partner), Quirec de Kersauson and Constance Boillot (associates) on regulatory aspects; Adrien Guidet and Olivia Crouzat (associates) on finance aspects; and Sébastien Gaudu (associate) on contract law aspects.

Orrick has been advising EOS Holding since 2011 and has recently assisted them on the acquisition of the Les Combles wind farm located in Northern France.
