On Monday, September 10, 2018, Orrick San Francisco hosted another CryptoMondays meet up, this time focused on security tokens, regulations and international jurisdictions. A dynamic panel discussion, “ICOs, The Next Chapter -- Regulations, Security Tokens, VCs and What’s Next,” brought together our own Technology Companies Group partner Larry Kane and executives from CoinAlpha, Sharespost, Digital Assets Group, Swarm.fund and Gigex to talk about everything ICOs. The panelists covered topics such as SAFT taxation and ICO tax strategies, the pros and cons of reincorporating in jurisdictions outside the U.S. and the SAFTE and other alternative structures.
