Kyle represents public and private companies and private equity funds in various domestic and cross-border mergers and acquisitions transactions on both the buy-side and sell-side. Kyle is also experienced in advising clients on representation and warranty insurance and venture financings. As part of Orrick’s fintech and artificial intelligence working group, Kyle analyzes and creates thought leadership on novel legal issues related to crypto, web 3.0 and artificial intelligence.
Kyle is passionate about Diversity, Equity & Inclusion. He serves as a leader on Orrick’s New York Diversity, Equity & Inclusion Committee and Orrick’s Asian, Native Hawaiian and Pacific Islander Inclusion Network. He is also a Vice Chair of the Corporate Law Committee of the Asian American Bar Association of New York.
Jamie concentrates on a broad range of federal income tax matters, including tax issues related to cross-border stock and asset acquisitions, debt and equity offerings, collateralizations, reorganizations, cross-border financings and transfer pricing.
Prior to joining Orrick, Jamie was an associate at White & Case LLP.
Prior to joining Orrick, Jonas had already been involved in employment law matters for several years in the course of his study-related work. During his legal clerkship, he worked, inter alia, in the policy department for collective employment law of a German multinational law firm.
Timo heads our Capital Markets and Banking & Finance (incl. Regulatory) practice in Germany and has been advising clients on respective law matters for more than 20 years.
He inter alia advises in the fields of regulatory & asset management (incl. AIFs) and restructuring, corporate law and derivative/carbon trading and is member in creditors committees.
Timo helps his clients, among them banks, corporates, listed companies, and asset managers in capital markets and finance transactions, M&A, squeeze outs, IPOs/ICOs as well as with regard to compliance. He also has special market experience regarding (renewable) energy, banking (stock exchange), insurance, and fund structuring as well as technology.
Milo's experience includes advising on a broad range of domestic and cross-border transactions, including mergers and acquisitions and financings, as well as general corporate matters, with a particular focus on renewable energy projects.
As a member of Orrick’s Intellectual Property group, Geoff represents clients big and small through all stages of litigation, from pre-suit investigations through trial and appeals. Geoff was a member of the trial team and lead technology associate in Oracle v. Google, the long-running and high stakes lawsuit over Google’s use of Oracle’s Java APIs in the Android operating system. Geoff also has significant experience representing clients in a variety of commercial, employment, and products liability lawsuits.
Before attending law school, Geoff worked as a software developer at The Capital Group Companies, Raytheon, and the Teradata division of NCR.
Geoff spends significant time working on pro bono matters, notably with the Domestic Violence Project through the Los Angeles County Bar Association. The Project helps those in need navigate a complicated legal system in their time of need to get the restraining orders they need to stay safe.
He regularly counsels clients on a broad range of real estate matters, including the acquisition and disposal of investment property across asset classes; advice to corporate occupiers on lettings and office moves; real estate development; and the property aspects of corporate and financing transactions.
Simon also has extensive experience in the energy sector, where he has advised on the acquisition, sale, development and financing of a variety of projects. He has particular knowledge in renewable energy, with significant experience in offshore and onshore wind, solar and biomass. He is a member of the Orrick team that is adept in the disposal of offshore transmission assets as part of the OFTO tender process run by Ofgem.
