Tom’s practice has an emphasis on representing sponsors, developers, lenders and investors in a variety of energy and infrastructure financing transactions for both fossil fuel-fired and renewable energy projects, including solar, wind, energy storage, geothermal, landfill gas and biomass projects.
Tom has been recognized by Euromoney as one of the World’s Leading Project Finance Lawyers and one of the World’s Leading Energy and Natural Resources Lawyers, and he is listed as a leading financing lawyer in the International Financial Review. Tom has also been recognized by Chambers and the International Who’s Who of Business Lawyers as one of the leading project finance lawyers in the U.S. and is recognized in The Best Lawyers in America for Project Finance Law.
Her practice covers the development of projects, particularly in the energy and infrastructure sectors, notably within the framework of public contracts such as concessions and PPP contracts, as well as the regulatory aspects of regulated activities. She also handles litigation in these sectors.
She advises both sponsors and lenders, and also works with public entities.
Constance started her career at Orrick in 2013, before joining the project finance legal desk of Bouygues Construction at the end of 2018 for two years. She rejoined Orrick in 2021.
Devin's practice focuses on the representation of sponsors, borrowers and investors in debt and tax equity financings for energy and infrastructure projects.
He represents corporate buyers, project sponsors, developers, and financial institutions in the negotiation of a broad variety of agreements:
Virtual and physical power purchase agreements, REC agreements, and other long-term offtake contracts for wind and solar;
Joint ventures, acquisitions, and divestitures of renewable energy project equity and assets;
Engineering, procurement, and construction agreements;
Major equipment supply contracts; and
Interconnection, site control, and other project development transactions.
In addition to project development, Daniel has assisted energy clients in environmental, energy regulatory, restructuring, and financing matters.
Prior to joining Orrick, Daniel was a Senior Counsel at Vestas Development and a Senior Associate in an international law firm’s energy practice group. In these roles, he negotiated transactions involving over 3.5 GWs of renewable energy projects in matters ranging from utility scale to community solar.
Anna’s experience spans M&A, project development and financing, joint ventures, market entry and expansion, and restructurings in Europe, Africa, Latin America, Asia Pacific and the Middle East. She offers clients a comprehensive understanding of the entire energy value chain – from upstream concessions and transportation arrangements to downstream commodity sales and trading. Anna is known for guiding clients through their most challenging and transformative matters, driving results in both mature and emerging markets.
Highly regarded in the market, Anna holds a Band 1 ranking from Chambers Global and Chambers UK in Oil & Gas. Clients praise her as “one of the standout energy lawyers both for M&A and oil and gas work,” noting her intelligent and commercial approach to negotiations and consistent, client-focused communication.
Prior to joining Orrick, Anna spent over 11 years practising in Asia and has worked in London, Singapore, Hong Kong and Beijing.
Shahin represents sponsors, investors and other market participants in a wide range of renewable energy transactions. His practice encompasses project development, acquisitions and tax equity and debt financings. He also assists clients with general corporate legal needs.
Ed Williams assists clients with complex matters focusing primarily on litigation in appellate tribunals, including the United States Supreme Court, and challenging legal issues at trial.
