Devin Brennan Partner

Such transactions have involved both long- and short-term, fixed and variable rate obligations, public-private partnerships (P3s), commercial paper, swaps, credit and liquidity enhancement, and revenue bonds for transportation and utility issuers, as well as a number of sizable special purpose financings. Devin has also represented multiple clients in connection with chapter 9 bankruptcies, restructurings and other workouts.

Devin is a partner in Orrick’s San Francisco and Boston offices and chairs the Firm’s Transportation Finance Group. Devin is a frequent speaker on topics in infrastructure finance, having previously served as Chair of both the Bond Buyer's California Public Finance Conference and its national Infrastructure Conference.

Devin has been a member of the Firm's Hiring and Summer Program Committees, and continues to help organize Orrick's annual summer associate surf trip to Capitola Beach. Devin is also a member of the Strategy Council for OneJustice, an organization dedicated to transforming the delivery of legal services to people in need.

Emily Lewis Associate

Seattle

Emily focuses her practice on advising clients on a wide range of real estate finance matters, including commercial mortgage-backed securities, acquisitions, dispositions, and refinancing transactions. Her expertise extends to negotiating and drafting loan agreements, purchase and sale agreements, conducting due diligence, and ensuring compliance with local regulatory requirements. In addition to her work in the Real Estate Finance Group, Emily has also collaborated with Orrick’s Energy and Infrastructure team to help them navigate the real estate issues for solar and battery developments.

Emily is a graduate of the University of Washington School of Law and was previously a summer associate at Orrick.

Anne Savin Senior Career Associate

Miami; Washington, D.C.

Anne brings her unique background to bear on federal appellate matters that cut across a range of substantive areas of the law. She has authored petitions for certiorari, briefs in opposition, and amicus briefs at the U.S. Supreme Court in cases involving civil rights, constitutional, veterans, and immigration law. She also advises clients on cutting-edge developments in the financial technology and artificial intelligence sectors, where disruptive technologies continue to raise fundamental legal questions.

For nearly a decade before joining Orrick, Anne served as an officer in the U.S. Army Judge Advocate General's Corp.  Her military experiences include prosecuting dozens of criminal cases--including rape and murder--at Fort Bragg, North Carolina and Fort Benning, Georgia, advising the U.S. Army Judge Advocate General and other senior Army leaders at the Pentagon on military justice issues, and advising the commander of the Army's only active-duty information warfare brigade in intelligence and operational law in the information and cyberspace domains.  Among other distinctions, Anne was awarded the Bronze Star for her service in Afghanistan with the 82d Airborne Division and is a graduate of the U.S. Army Airborne School.

Before joining the Army, Anne practiced in San Francisco with two AmLaw 100 firms.  Her representative cases include successfully defending an oil-and-gas company against claims brought under the Alien Tort Statute and customary international law, securing a complete defense verdict at trial on alter ego and agency liability allegations against an insurance company, and successfully defending on appeal summary judgments based on professional responsibility violations and statute of limitations grounds.

Elizabeth Gavin Managing Associate

Davin M. Stockwell Of Counsel

Orange County

Davin has experience in litigating and prosecuting patents in a wide variety of technology fields, including in-flight entertainment systems, semiconductors, semiconductor fabrication, design verification, computer software and hardware, power systems, financial services, e-business, business methods, medical and dental devices, and biotechnology.


Davin's experience includes preparing petitions for inter partes review and requests for inter partes and ex parte reexamination, and he is lead counsel in several inter partes review proceedings. Davin also counsels clients with regard to intellectual property strategies and has experience with prosecution of trademark applications, registration of copyrights, and protection of trade secrets. He further provides counseling and opinion services with regard to a diverse range of intellectual property matters.

Prior to joining Orrick, Davin was an associate at Lyon & Lyon LLP. Before and during law school, he was employed as an electrical engineer, developing peripheral devices for portable computer applications. Davin further has over a decade of electrical and mechanical design experience with commercial and military systems.
