Rebecca Evans is a Managing Associate in the Complex Litigation and Dispute Resolution Team, she advises on a wide range of litigation and dispute resolution matters including High Court litigation, professional discipline actions and internal and regulatory investigations.

Rebecca acts for clients on a broad range of litigation and regulatory matters. She has particular experience in acting for professional services firms in contentious regulatory investigations, enforcement proceedings and negligence claims.

  • Notable engagements include:

    • Carillion plc (in liquidation) v (1) KPMG LLP (2) KPMG Audit plc [2020] EWHC 1416 (Comm) - Acting for the Defendants in their defense of an application for pre-action disclosure by the Official Receiver.
    • (1) Estera Trust (Jersey) Limited (2) Herinder Singh v Jasminder Singh & Others  [2018] EWHC 1715 (Ch) -  Acting for the majority shareholder of a highly private hotel company in Unfair Prejudice proceedings before the High Court.
    • Acting for major accounting firms in enforcement actions by the FRC.
    • Responding to investigations by the FRC, FCA, Insolvency Service and the Pensions Regulator on behalf of accounting firms.
    • Cunningham v Ellis & Others [2018] EWHC 3188 (Comm) - Acting for the Fifth Defendant (EY) in its application for strike out and summary judgment in its favour.
    • Conducting an internal investigation into fraud by a senior employee of a major global retailer.
