Kaitlyn is experienced in Hatch-Waxman litigation and inter partes review proceedings, including disputes involving drug treatments for cancer, therapeutic antibodies, and medical devices. Kaitlyn also has significant experience in IP due diligence and licensing associated with high-profile acquisitions.
Bailey is a procedural strategist at heart, focused on solving complex problems for clients across a variety of U.S. and international forums. With a commitment to deeply understanding both procedural rules and substantive law, she navigates the intricacies of litigation, arbitration, and regulatory proceedings to deliver creative, practical solutions to her clients. Her work spans multiple jurisdictions, and she is adept at handling high-stakes disputes in both domestic and global contexts.
Whether advising clients in U.S. courts or before international tribunals, Bailey is dedicated to identifying the most efficient and effective path to resolution. She thrives on devising tailored strategies that align with her clients’ business objectives while minimizing risk and maximizing opportunities.
Bailey co-authored a chapter in The Award in International Investment Arbitration, published by Oxford Press in 2024. She also teaches a course on International Commercial Arbitration Advocacy at American University's Washington College of Law and coaches the AUWCL Willem C. Vis International Commercial Arbitration Moot Court Competition.
Alison advises the firm on matters related to corporate governance, client relationships, and professional responsibility and ethics related to the practice of law. She has developed deep experience in the ethical considerations surrounding the use of legal tech, including AI and GenAI tools.
Alison provides legal advice to Orrick’s Board and Management Committee regarding firm management, growth, and policies. She is a member of the firm’s Operations Team and sits on the Risk Management Committee and AI Council. She also serves on the Risk Management Committee of MPC, the firm’s malpractice insurer.
Prior to joining the firm’s Office of General Counsel, Alison was a litigator in the firm’s Complex Litigation and Dispute Resolution group. Her practice focused on representing audit firms and accountants in regulatory proceedings as well as civil disputes related to professional liability and representing insurance policyholders in matters related to coverage, claims, and recovery. She has experience managing and conducting large-scale internal investigations, liaising with regulators, and managing cross-border risk and liability. Alison also defended financial institutions in lawsuits arising out of the global financial crisis.
As global demand for energy continues to rise and governments, investors and consumers continue to support the decarbonization of the energy industry, Joe has developed a particular focus on advising large multinational energy companies on energy transition issues, including in connection with investment in hydrogen, ammonia, carbon capture and storage, and renewable energy projects and innovations in conventional energy. Joe is a key member of Orrick’s energy transition practice, which was recognized as Band 1 in Energy Transition by Chambers USA (2023-2025).
Joe is recognized by Chambers Global (2023-2025), Chambers USA (2021-2025), The Legal 500 (2018-2025) and Super Lawyers - Rising Stars (2014-2021) for his work on energy transactions. Clients describe him in Chambers as “very responsive, knowledgeable, easy to work with and business-minded” and a “capable and thoughtful transaction leader with a commercial mindset.”
He is a trusted advisor to private equity real estate investors, funds and institutional lenders on their complex acquisitions, dispositions, financings and developments of office, multifamily, industrial, mixed-use, hotel and golf course properties.
Jon has a particular focus on complex real estate financings, including the origination of mezzanine debt, A/B tiered structures and loan on loan structures, including bridge loans, full construction loans and TI/LC and CapEx future funding facilities.
Jon serves as a relationship co-lead for one of Orrick’s top real estate clients, Walton Street Capital. He also works closely with leading real estate private equity investors, including Westbrook Partners, Cirrus Real Estate Partners and Hackman Capital Partners.
Bruno has particular experience in providing transactional advice on mergers and acquisitions-related issues, as well as securities and stock market regulation and corporate law.
Bruno works with French and multinational groups from a wide range of public and private sectors.
Bruno is also the founder of “HEAD Afrique”, a think-tank on legal practice on the African continent.
Before joining Orrick, he spent six years in the corporate team at a leading international law firm, and prior to that was also at another global law firm.
